    History

    MARK-ITT Communications Company was established in April 1992 by Sergey Kataev and Alexander Ermolaev for developing of EUnet/Relcom network services and creation of own informational and transportation services. However real work had begun much more early, it was back in November-December 1991, and up to February 1992 the node has 4 clients already. It was working under the name of small venture "MARK", and in April almost self-sufficient bulk of employees had been formed and it wasn't changed until October 1992 while numbers of clients had been growing steadily. In October-November 1992 MARK-ITT personnel was considerably widened by newly formed public service department and developing group.

    MARK-ITT entered new 1993 year serving 89 steady clients in Udmurt republic, more than 100 clients in February and up to Summer total number of clients was about 130, after this point the increasing of the number somehow slowed down but certain changes took place regarding quantity and quality of services.

    First works on establishing IP-net had begun in October-November of 1992, and since November 1992 MARK-ITT had been using IP-connection with iskra.msk.su over Iskra-2 telephone net. Since February 1993 MARK-ITT uses leased line that ends up at router of JSV Relcom m9ldx-gw (Moscow).

    In February 1992 electronic bulletin board named APS Software Second Node BBS was up and running (it inherited the name after BBS that Alexander Ermolaev had maintainted back in 1989-1992 while working at Udmurt State University, actually it was a second line of first ever existed Udmurt BBS - APS Software BBS).

    In July-August of 1992, negotiations and then setting up of EUNet/Relcon node in Budapest, Hungary were succesfully done. Up to date the most serious partner of our Budapestian node is Trade Representation of Russian Federation. This node will be considerable enlarged soon.

    In March of 1993, the agreement with private firm "Julia" which provide Net services in the city of Glazov, Udmurt Republic, was signed.

    Since June of 1993 we'd been working on creating node of FaxNet and on obtaining of our own license to provide net services. License #721 from the Ministry of Communications of Russian Federation has been obtained 3th of December of 1993. In February of 1994, FaxNet node began to work. In March of 1994, cooperation agreement with JSV "Rospak" has been signed, it enables MARK-ITT to provide packet-switched net services in Udmurt Republic. In May 1994, agreement between MARK-ITT and JSV Udmurtneft has been signed, this agreement aimed at creation of network in Udmurt Republic. The works have begun already.

    In June of 1994 ROSPAK node took off a ground and got on a probe run.

    In July-August of 1994 a channel between JSV "Quorus AGS" (Ekaterinburg) and MARK-ITT was settled.

    In October of 1994 a channel from the city of Kirov (Vjatka) from TTSV node was switched on to MARK-ITT.

    In July-August of 1994 MARK-ITT setted up a channel to the city of Perm, cclearn node.
